Hudl has created a “soccer version” of their software that is supposed to be specifically for soccer but unfortunately they built it with the mindset of a football coach/player versus the mindset of a soccer coach/player. Suddenly, the answer changes when you change the sport. The question really needs to be modified from “is Hudl worth it”, to “is Hudl worth it for soccer”? If Hudl were originally built for hockey, or lacrosse, or even water polo, I suspect that Hudl would be a much different product ad a much better product for soccer because all these sports are “free flowing” sports that do not start-and-stop the way a sport like football does throughout the entire game.
